As someone who continually looked outside herself for fulfillment - books, social events, running my body into the ground at the gym, and doing all the things society told me I should be doing (In DC that means a master's and a job with the gov't) it took the passing of my mom to actually get my shit together and say, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!" Time became a very real thing for me and I had to make the decision of "Leah, if you're gonna make your impact on the world, you better get busy- time's a wastin'! "
So I stopped resisting what my gut was telling me. I sought out my own path becoming a coach empowering others to go after their own desires and dreams. It was really quite incredible the outpouring of love and support that I received- as well as all the crazy "coincidences" that happened once I declared my truth.
It's not always easy listening to our gut. In fact, it can be F****** hard especially when it goes against everything we've been taught. Fear gets the best of us.
