Over the years, I have truly come to understand the importance of the spoken and written word, through personal experiences, my own self-development, and reinforced by thought leaders around the world.

They are our thoughts with an extra boost of energy behind them.

This matters because our thoughts ultimately shape our reality. We want to strive to give energy to the positive thoughts so we can help fuel their reality.

I constantly monitor what’s going on in my head and what’s coming out of my mouth. It’s easy to think and say negative thoughts, because unfortunately we're wired that way. However, we must be vigilant about withholding those thoughts while speaking the positive ones.

We must speak kind things about ourselves and write down those goals we seek to accomplish because those are the things in which we want to give energy.

Every thought, spoken or written word is an affirmation to the Universe.
You are telling it what you want your reality to be.

As a life coach, I help my clients understand how powerful their language is in shaping their reality.

Many times, I hear the same excuse as to why a goal hasn’t been achieved or why they aren’t taking action: “I don’t have time.”

As long as you continue to say this phrase, it will prove to be true.

The reality is that you have to make time.
Your time reflects your priorities.
If you don’t have time, it’s not a top priority.

I have my clients track and evaluate how their time is currently being spent. Where is it going? When are they most productive? Where are they wasting precious hours? What are they doing that produces the most results?

Then, I have them design out their ideal schedule and stick to it as best as possible so they can see where they have designated time to spend on their pursuit or goal and give priority to those activities that are providing them the most results.

By coaching my clients to see that they have an active choice over their time and that mindless TV or phone scrolling doesn’t just have to happen, they are able to run their day, not vice versa.

Leah Carol - Life Coach DC- Time

If you want to watch TV, not a problem at all - schedule it in. The aim is to have you realize how you are choosing to spend your time. Once you have awareness, you can choose to begin to change it - or not.

"I don't have time" is literally affirming to the Universe that your pursuit is not important.

If you want it, you'll make it happen, if not, you'll make an excuse.
